For aircon businesses with service contracts to keep
Summer decides your year. One bad service call decides your summer.
In season your techs are on six calls a day and you are on the phone. RateMate asks each customer how the visit went on WhatsApp, so the units and the techs that need attention reach you the same day, not in November when the contract goes to tender.
No app to download. No WhatsApp Business account needed. You stay in control of every send.

Sound familiar?
Peak season is a blind spot with a diary.
Six calls a day, four techs, and no way to tell which of the twenty-four visits went badly until someone stops calling.
A unit gets “serviced” in twenty minutes and fails a month later.
The client mentions the mess to their office manager, never to you.
The service contract goes out to tender and you never knew there was a problem.
Work that comes back
Nobody cancels in anger. They just stop booking.
A service contract is lost across a season, not on one call. Two rushed visits in January is why the tender lands in November.
Because the same customer rates every visit, you are not reading one score. You are watching a line move.
How it works
It all happens in WhatsApp.
Not just for your customers. You run the whole thing from the same chat you are in all day. Send the ask when the tech signs off, tag who did the call, and see the day’s scores between quotes.
Send a customer a rating request

Unhappy customers to call back
Your walk-in rating code

You trigger every send, and every rated customer sees the same review invite.

The save
A five-minute call instead of a lost contract.
A low score reaches your phone with the customer’s number and the tech who did the call, while the season is still running. You call, you send someone back properly, and the contract you would have lost at renewal stays yours.

Who did the job
In season, your techs are your whole reputation.
Tag the tech who did each call and every rating lands against the right person. When you are running twenty-four visits a day, that is the only way to see who is rushing.
A low score names the person who did the job, so the call you make is the right one. Your staff never see a league table: each person gets a private link to their own numbers, no rankings, no colleagues’ names.
Honest limit: a walk-in QR rating counts for the business, not a person. The scores that carry a name are the requests you send.
Every way a customer can answer
WhatsApp first. SMS and QR for everyone else.
Pricing
Less than one service call a month.
A notification is one review request or one low-score alert. They share one monthly meter. Scale it with the season: run Team through summer, or top up in the busiest weeks.
Busy month? Top up at R99 per 100 notifications. Low-score alerts always get through on Standard and Team, even past the cap. Cancel any time. See all plans, including Starter
FAQ
What aircon owners ask us first.
Our work is all in two months. Does a monthly plan make sense?
The meter is monthly, so scale it with the season. Run Team through summer and drop down in winter, or top up at R99 per 100 notifications in the busy weeks. Nothing breaks when you reach the cap: a send is refused with a prompt, and low-score alerts still get through.
Half our work is new installs, half is servicing.
Both end with a customer who has an opinion. Tag the install team and the service techs separately and you will see quickly which side of the business is costing you referrals.
The tenant is in the office, the landlord pays the invoice.
You choose which number goes on each request. Most contractors ask the person who was there on the day, because that is who tells the landlord what they think.
My techs work alone in ceilings all day. Will they resent a score?
They never see a league table. Each person gets a private link to their own numbers, no rankings and no colleagues’ names. It is for your Friday conversation, not the notice board.
What about bad reviews?
You hear about problems privately first, with a name and a number attached, in time to sort them out. Compare that to an anonymous Google review where you often cannot even tell which job it was. And to be clear about the other side: every rated customer gets the same Google review invite. RateMate never gates reviews by score.
Is this legal under POPIA?
Yes. Consent records, instant opt-outs and an audit trail are built in. POPIA without the paperwork.
