For pool companies running weekly routes
You service the pool every week. You see the customer twice a year.
Your route runs whether you are standing there or not. After each visit RateMate asks the customer how it went on WhatsApp, so a green pool or a gate left open reaches you before the account goes quiet.
No app to download. No WhatsApp Business account needed. You stay in control of every send.

Sound familiar?
Three things you cannot see from the office.
You know your route. You do not know how the visit landed, and the customer will not phone to tell you.
The water goes green on Friday. You hear about it on Monday, from the neighbour who also uses you.
A tech stops backwashing properly and nobody says a word for a month.
An account cancels at month end and the reason given is “we are just taking a break”.
Work that comes back
Nobody cancels in anger. They just stop booking.
A pool account does not end with an argument. It ends with three average visits nobody mentioned, and then a debit order that stops.
Because the same customer rates every visit, you are not reading one score. You are watching a line move.
How it works
It all happens in WhatsApp.
Not just for your customers. You run the whole thing from the same chat you are in all day. Send the ask when the route is done, tag the tech who did the pool, and check who is unhappy from the bakkie.
Send a customer a rating request
Your newest ratings and comments
Unhappy customers to call back
Your walk-in rating code
082 123 4567
You trigger every send, and every rated customer sees the same review invite.

The save
A five-minute call instead of a lost account.
A low score reaches your phone with the customer’s number and the name of the tech who did the pool, while there is still something to do about it. You call, you send someone back, and the account you would have lost quietly stays yours.

Who did the job
Two techs, forty pools, one reputation.
Tag the tech who did each pool and every rating lands against the right person. After a month you can see which route is holding and which one is quietly losing you accounts.
A low score names the person who did the job, so the call you make is the right one. Your staff never see a league table: each person gets a private link to their own numbers, no rankings, no colleagues’ names.
Honest limit: a walk-in QR rating counts for the business, not a person. The scores that carry a name are the requests you send.
Every way a customer can answer
WhatsApp first. SMS and QR for everyone else.
Pricing
Less than one pool account a month.
A notification is one review request or one low-score alert. They share one monthly meter. On a route of forty pools, Team covers every visit for the month with room to spare.
Busy month? Top up at R99 per 100 notifications. Low-score alerts always get through on Standard and Team, even past the cap. Cancel any time. See all plans, including Starter
FAQ
What pool companies ask us first.
Our chemical supplier already sends surveys. Why this too?
Those go to the account holder weeks later and you never see the answers. This asks the person whose pool it is on the day of the visit, and puts the unhappy ones on your phone with a number to call.
Will a customer really rate a routine service visit?
It is one tap in a WhatsApp chat, not a survey. Routine is exactly where it earns its keep: the same customer rates the same pool every month, so a score sliding from 5 to 3 tells you something changed on that route.
Two of my guys share a bakkie. Who gets the score?
Whoever you tag on the request. Tag the tech who did the pool and the rating lands against them. One honest limit: a walk-in QR rating counts for the business, not a person.
We mostly service body corporates, not homes.
Then send the ask to whoever signs off the visit, the caretaker or the managing agent. Same result: you hear about the problem before the trustees do.
What about bad reviews?
You hear about problems privately first, with a name and a number attached, in time to sort them out. Compare that to an anonymous Google review where you often cannot even tell which job it was. And to be clear about the other side: every rated customer gets the same Google review invite. RateMate never gates reviews by score.
Is this legal under POPIA?
Yes. Consent records, instant opt-outs and an audit trail are built in. POPIA without the paperwork.
