Verify your email
Updated 25 Oct 2026
Verifying your email tells RateMate the address you signed up with really is yours. Password resets and alert emails go to that address, so it matters.
Nothing is blocked while your email is unverified. You can use RateMate as normal.
Verify your email
- After you sign up, RateMate emails you a link. Open the email titled "Verify your RateMate email".
- Tap Verify this address.
- On the page that opens, tap Verify my email.
- You will see "Email verified". Tap Go to your dashboard to carry on.
RateMate asks you to tap Verify my email on purpose. This stops an email scanner from opening the link and confirming your address by accident.
If you can't find the email
Check your spam folder first. Then ask for a new one:
- On the Home screen, a banner says "Please verify your email address." Tap Resend the email.
- Or tap Manage, then Account. Under Sign-in email you will see "Not verified". Tap Resend it.
You will see "Sent. Check your inbox." Emails sometimes take a few minutes to arrive.
Good to know
- Each link works once and expires after 24 hours.
- A new link replaces the old one. If you ask twice, only the newest email works.
- The banner has a Hide button. Hiding it does not verify your email. The Account screen still shows "Not verified" until you do.
- You may not see the banner at all. The Account screen is always there.
- If you try to resend too many times in a row, RateMate asks you to wait a few minutes and try again.
Something not working?
If the page says "This link has expired", the link was already used, it is older than 24 hours, or you asked for a newer one. Go to Account and tap Resend it.
If you changed your sign-in email, RateMate sends the confirmation to the new address. Your old address keeps working until you confirm the new one.
